The Chitownproperty team is sponsoring a virtual food drive to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. You can visit the website to purchase a number of food items to be donated, or contribute cash donations. It’s a simple as shopping online, no more need to haul cans of food around to do your part. The money raised will buy much-needed food for the hungry men, women and children in Chicagoland.

Every week, the Food Depository provides emergency and supplemental food to nearly 90,000 people in Cook County—33% of which are children—through a network of 600 pantries, shelters, soup kitchens and childcare centers. As staggering as this number is, the demand for food continues to rise. The generosity of just a few of our friends, family, and clients can make a big difference in the lives of Chicago’s hungry families and individuals. Even a small donation goes a long way in helping the Food Depository get nutritious food to those in need since the Food Depository can purchase food at prices three times lower than what we pay at the grocery store. All the items on our food drive have been identified by the Food Depository as ones that are in high demand. Please join us in the fight against hunger in our community.
